Winter Garden pastor accused of running gambling operation in his garage, serving booze to kids

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — A pastor living in a gated Winter Garden community was arrested after police said they found him running an illegal gambling operation out of his garage and serving alcohol to minors.

According to an arrest warrant, police were tipped off to Christian Raburn’s alleged activity by a 20-year-old man and his 17-year-old brother.

The two gave sworn statements saying Rayburn, 29, served them alcohol at his home in the 200 block of Black Springs Lane on May 6, police said.

They also provided digital photos of “significant amounts of U.S. currency” on gaming tables set up in Raburn’s garage, the warrant said, adding that alcohol was also seen in the photos “arrayed in a manner most commonly seen in commercial bars and lounges.”

According to state records, Christian Raburn Ministries and the Church of Victory, both corporations, went inactive within the past two months.

Raburn was arrested and charged with keeping a gambling house, serving alcohol to a person younger than 21 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
